China Telecom Hainan Branch 5G Bearer Network IT Equipment Supply and Network Reconstruction Project

China Telecom Hainan Branch is fully advancing the large-scale deployment of 5G and the transformation of the industrial Internet. During this period, it faced core pain points such as low efficiency of traditional manual network management, cumbersome operation and maintenance processes, and insufficient performance of existing equipment, which could not meet the core requirements of high bandwidth and low latency for 5G services. With rich experience in operator services and domestic equipment integration capabilities, our company successfully undertook this project, took domestic IT equipment as the core carrier, and provided one-stop equipment supply and overall network reconstruction services to help it smoothly complete the digital transformation and build a solid foundation for 5G digital infrastructure.
|Solutions
Core SDN Equipment Supply: Adopt ZTE domestic SDN equipment, including 3 of CloudStudio GSO Network Service Orchestrators and 3 of ZENIC vDC Controllers (deployed in a 3-machine cluster mode), to realize full-process automatic orchestration of the bearer network and unified equipment management and control, ensure high availability of the control plane, perfectly adapt to the core needs of SDN network reconstruction, and improve network scheduling flexibility.
Supporting IT Hardware Supply: Procure 42 sets of Huawei CloudEngine 6800 series core switches and 86 sets of H3C S5820 series access switches, all deployed at 68 PE nodes across the province to build an efficient and stable core layer and access layer of the bearer network; deploy 15 sets of Huawei optical transmission equipment and 30 sets of passive WDM equipment to fully support the stable bearing of 5G fronthaul services and meet the needs of high-speed 5G signal transmission.
Integration, Deployment and O&M: Set up a professional implementation team to efficiently complete the entry, installation, commissioning and joint debugging of all IT equipment, simultaneously coordinate Huawei, ZTE and H3C to provide special technical support, carry out targeted O&M skill training, effectively improve the professional capabilities of the customer’s O&M team, reduce the fault resolution time by 43%, and ensure the continuous and stable operation of the network.
|Project Achievements
The project successfully completed the SDN network reconstruction, realized the automatic adjustment of network connections, shortened the network response time from the hour level to the minute level, and greatly improved the network scheduling efficiency; the network stability was increased by 60%, effectively reducing the incidence of network faults. At the same time, the O&M efficiency was increased by 50%, and the manual O&M cost was reduced by 38%, effectively reducing the operating cost for the customer, quickly supporting the large-scale expansion of 5G services of China Telecom Hainan Branch, and providing solid network support for the high-quality development of Hainan’s digital economy.
